Particle Swarm Optimisation in Practice: Multiple Applications in a Digital Microscope System

We demonstrate that particle swarm optimisation (PSO) can be used to solve a variety of problems arising during operation digital inspection microscope. This is use case for the feasibility heuristics in real-world product. show solutions four measurement problems, all based on PSO. allows compact software implementation solving different problems. have found PSO with small footprints and good results embedded system. Notably, microscope application, this eliminates need return device factory calibration.
